Virtual Escape Room - Ruins: Forbidden Treasure

A mind-blowing remote escape room experience – from your home yet played in a real escape room!

Ruins: Forbidden Treasure is an escape room game played from your homes or anywhere hosted live by a Game Guide who is in an actual escape room wearing a camera with a video feed. You’ll see what they see and direct the Game Guide through the room.

Like an actual escape room, this remote escape room is an exiting challenge for you, your family, and friends. Together, you’ll experience the same cooperative gameplay, tasks, and roadblocks to overcome as you work together to escape the room, except you are playing online from your home and family/friends in theirs while working with a live host in the escape room.

The Mission:  While on what seemed to be a safe tour in a lush jungle, things have taken a sudden turn and you are stranded at the foot of ancient temple ruins fabled to be the home a massive treasure. Do you and your team dare to enter a mysterious temple and uncover forgotten riches? You’ll have 60 minutes to navigate the temple, find the treasure, and escape unscathed!

You can play Ruins: Forbidden Treasure with family and friends anywhere ... across the city, country, or world!

Highlights:

• A custom digital dashboard, sound effects, 360-degree scans of the escape room, custom Zoom backgrounds, and lots more surprises to help you find the treasure and escape the Temple.
• A Game Guide will be assisting throughout the game from within a real Escape Room.
• Your Virtual Escape Room adventure will be a private experience.

How it works:

• After you have activated your experience on Breakaway Experiences’ website, you’ll contact the Escape Game provider to reserve a game time.
• The game provider will send you a Zoom link to your game at least 12 hours in advance of your scheduled game time.
• When you log onto Zoom (or your preferred video conference service) with your teammates you will be met by your Game Guide and Host.
• Via a live camera feed your Host will provide you with clues and instructions. Your Game Guide will be in the escape room with a live video feed acting as your eyes, ears, hands, and feet.
• There will be an online dashboard with helpful videos and will keep track of the clues and items you find along the way.
• Work with your team to escape in under 60 minutes!
• Up to 8 players can play together.
• You must purchase a minimum of 4 spots to reserve a game Monday – Friday and 5 spots to reserve a game on Saturday and Sunday.

Where: Anywhere you can access to the internet.

Duration: 60-minutes.

Need to know:

• An adult, 18 or older, must participate with anyone under 15.
• This Escape Game experience is recommended for ages 13 and up but can accommodate players of all ages. Some game content may be too difficult for players under 13.
• You Escape Room experience is private to your group.
