Drivers, start your engines! This is the perfect introduction to the exciting world of driving a real stock car like the pros do. Buckle up and put the pedal to the metal in a car that has raced in professional competitions.
You will begin with a classroom led by seasoned racing instructors who will teach everything you need to know for a safe and exciting experience. Your training will include acceleration guidelines, proper braking techniques, and efficient steering tips. Next, you get geared up in your driving suit and helmet, climb through the window, buckle up your 5-point racing harness, lock in the steering wheel … and your off!
As you are accelerating around Pikes Peak International Raceway’s 1-mile oval, you will be able to hear the instructor in the one-way radio in your helmet. They will be giving you guidance on driving safely as you get your speed up to a 150mph.
It’s just you alone in the car putting your driving skills to the ultimate test!
No racing experience required!

Highlights:
- Drive a 500 HP Sprint Cup Style Race car as fast as you want!
- You’ll be driving the stock car by yourself! No instructor riding next to you.
- All of your laps are hot laps and passing is allowed!
What's included:
- Driver instruction from veteran race car drivers.
- All race and safety equipment provided including a driving suit, helmet, and HANS device (head restraint).
The Cars:
- You'll be driving real stock car race cars used in competions by top racing teams including Chevrolet Monte Carlos, Pontiac Grand Prix, Dodge Chargers, Toyota Camrys, and Ford Fusions. Amongst them you will find cars from Joe Gibbs Racing, Dale Earnhardt Inc., Hendrick Motorsports, Roush and others.
- All of the race cars have with standard transmissions. If you need assistance operating a standard vehicle the pit crews will help you exit the pit area and get to speed quickly.
- The steel bodied race cars are stable at speeds of 150mph and more. The chassis, combined with a 500 hp GM crate motor, will have you breathless as the car rockets off the corner.

Important details:
- All the race cars have standard transmissions. If you need a hand operating a standard vehicle the pit crews will help you exit the pit area and you get driving fast quickly.
- How fast can you go? It's up to you! It's just and the car on the track. Speeds vary according to a driver’s individual performance.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- The minimum age for participation is 18 years old.
- Ride Along minimum age is 14 years and they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
- The minimum height requirement to participate is 5′ tall.
- The maximum height permitted is 6′ 4″.
- Chest and waist can be no greater than 52".
- Drivers must be able to climb through a window 28" wide by 15” high that sits 35” from the ground.
- Dress comfortably in clothes that will fit under the driver’s suit. Open-toed shoed are not allowed.
- In the event the experience is cancelled due to weather, your certificate will be rescheduled for a future date. No refunds can be issued.
- You are financially responsible for all damage caused to the car due to driver error. A Vehicle Protection Plan is available for $75.00, subject to a $1000.00 deductible. You can purchase optional insurance at the race car track on the day of your event. Due to the quality of the training and cars, damage is rare but you will be responsible for any damage to the racecar.
