Appleton Fox River Segway Tour

This is the only Segway tour offering views of hand-operated locks in the United States.

Your Segway adventure begins with meeting your guide on Appleton's College Avenue. From there, following your guide, you’ll make your way down to the scenic flats of the Fox River, where you will visit the location of the world’s first hydroelectric plant.

As you are gliding alongside the river, you will experience spectacular views of the river and surrounding landscape.  Watch the skies closely for majestic eagles that call this area home.

 Along the way, you will pass by some of the top attractions and museums in Appleton. As you are gliding along and enjoying the sites, your knowledgeable guide will share fascinating insights and stories about Appleton’s culture and history.

This guided Segway tour is a great way to discover hidden gems and soak up the local atmosphere in the Fox Cities.

Do you have to have good balance to ride a Segway? No. You just have to trust the Segway and it will balance you. Your Segway adventure begins with a training session.

Duration: Approximately 2-hours

Need to know:

• Minimum age for participation is 11 years.
• An adult or guardian must accompany children under 18.
• There are no weight restrictions for our tours, but a person must be comfortable on their feet and not have issues climbing stairs without assistance. It is best that a participant is 70 lbs. or more.
• The maximum number of participants per tour is 9.
• Pregnant women are not allowed to participate in the Segway tour for safety reasons.
• You will be provided a bicycle helmet. You may bring your own helmet if you'd like.
• This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
