Tucson Speedway NASCAR Style Racing Experience

Feed your need for speed!

Your racing adventure kicks off when you arrive at Tucson Speedway. Seasoned instructors will go over safety procedures, how to enter and exit the track, passing, the flags used, finding your line, driving techniques and more. They’ll cover have everything you’ll need for a thrilling yet safe driving experience.

Next, you’re suited up in a full-face helmet and fire-proof racing suit over your clothes. When you are ready to race, climb through the stock car’s window, get buckled into your 5-point racing harness, and connect the one-way radio to your helmet.

After a thumbs up start your engine and when the flag is waved, put the pedal to the metal.

As you are tearing around the track, it’s just you alone in the race car with the instructor in your ear helping you drive the race car to near NASCAR speeds. They'll work with you on accelerating, braking, passing, and finding your fastest line as your push your driving skills to the limit.

No previous car racing experience required!

This breathtaking driving experience has been designed for the sole purpose of giving you the opportunity to experience the thrill of driving a NASCAR style race car like the pros do in a controlled and safe environment. The only question is ‘How FAST will you go?’.

The Cars:

• NASCAR style Super Late Models that have all raced in competitions.
• The lightweight design of the Late Models combined with their incredible power to weight ratio make them the best choice for racing on the short ovals.
• Their fiberglass body and strong chassis make the cars lighter and quicker than the larger NASCAR style Cup cars driven at bigger tracks.
• The chassis combined with a 400 hp GM crate motor will have you blownaway as the car rockets off the corners.
• The race cars are all equipped with standard transmissions. If you need a hand operating a standard vehicle the pit crews will help you exit the pit area and get to speed quickly.

How fast will I be able to go?

• Real fast! You are driving by yourself in the race car. The speeds will vary according to each driver’s individual performance.

Need to know:

• The minimum age drive a race car is18 years old. Ride Along minimum age is 14 years and be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Drivers must be able to climb through a 15” high by 28” wide window that sits 35” from the ground.
• Minimum height requirement is 5′ tall.
• Maximum height allowable is 6′ 4″.
• Chest and waist cannot exceed 52".
• Wear clothes that will be comfortable under the driver racing suit.
• Closed toe shoes are required. The shoes you wear should allow you to feel the pedals through the sole. A running shoe or equivalent usually works best (no boots). Open-toed shoes are not permitted.
• This experience is weather dependent. If your racing event is cancelled due to weather, your certificate will be rescheduled for a future date. Refunds cannot be issued.
• You are financially responsible for all damage caused to the car due to driver error. A Vehicle Protection Plan is available for $60.00, subject to a $1000.00 deductible. You can purchase optional insurance at the race car track on the day of your event. Due to the quality of the training and cars, damage is rare, but you will be responsible for any damage to the race car.
