Boise Zombie Scavenger Hunt

The whole world is in complete anarchy. Zombies are everywhere and relentless. You are part of a small colony of survivors just outside of Boise. You have been tasked with scavenging downtown for survival supplies like food, bandages, vehicles, and more. You’ll take pictures of these items from a list provided to you on the app.

Work together to locate the survival items, solve challenges, answer trivia questions, and stay alive … you have 1-hour. Rival colonies are roaming around downtown. If you are not careful, they will steal from you items you worked hard to find.

This fun, app led scavenger hunt game puts a new spin on sightseeing, introducing you to places in Boise you may not have known about.

• This is a private experience played with you and your team.

• You can play at a time that is works best for you.

How it works:

• Registration instructions will be provided to you once you have activated your Breakaway Experiences' certificate.
• When you are ready to play, you’ll register with the experience provider and download the app called "GooseChase" onto your smartphone.
• You’ll go to your starting location in downtown Boise  on the day / time you want to play. Follow the directions provided to you in the Zombie Scavenger app.
• You'll be given the list of items to find on the app. You can find these survival items in any order you'd like.
• Once you locate an item, you’ll take a picture to prove you found it. You are not required to purchase anything during the scavenger hunt.
• The more items you find, the more points you earn and increase your odds of survival.
• During the game, a remote guide / host will be following your progress via the App. Via the chat feature in the app, the remote host can help you if you need assistance.

When:

• Zombie Scavenger Hunt customer support hours are Tuesday - Sunday from 9:00am - 5:00pm.
• If you prefer, you can play anytime, outside the customer support hours.

Duration: 1-hour

Walking distance involved: 1-mile approximately

Need to know:

• You can have up to 10 people on a team. The ideal size for a group / team is between 4 and 6 people.
• You can divide into teams if you are a large group and play against each other to see who finds all the survival items the fastest!
• You can download the scavenger hunt app onto as many phones as you'd like.
• To play the game you will need an Android or iOS or Smartphone with data plan.
• Nobody will be physically there with you during the game, dressed as Zombies. Everything is done via your smartphone.
• The game is played outdoors in public spaces.
• The experience is wheelchair accessible. It is an open scavenger hunt, where you explore Boise on your own terms. There is no specific route, therefore you don’t have to go anywhere that is not wheelchair accessible. You be asked to find anything that could not be accessible in a wheelchair.
