Seattle Zombie Scavenger Hunt

A fun way to get to explore Seattle with family and friends!

You are part of a small group of survivors, just outside of Seattle. Zombies outnumber the living 10 to 1. With your team, you will use your smartphone to search downtown Seattle for much needed supplies.

It won't be easy! Zombies are unrelenting. Competing colonies are roving around, and they will take what you strived hard to find if you are not careful.

This engaging game puts a new twist on sightseeing and introduces you to places in Seattle you might never know about.

• No actual zombies are involved in the scavenger hunt!

How it works:

• Zombie Scavengers is an interactive app-led scavenger hunt played using your smartphone.
• Registration instructions will be provided to you once you have activated your Breakaway Experiences' certificate.
• When you are ready to play, you’ll register with the experience provider and download the app called "GooseChase" onto your smartphone to play the scavenger hunt.
• You’ll go to your starting location at Victor Steinbrueck Park on the day / time you want to play. Follow the directions provided to you in the Zombie Scavenger app.
• You'll be given a list of items such as bandages, food, vehicles, necessities, and more on the app.
• Once you locate an item, all you’ll take a picture to prove you found it (You are not required to purchase anything during the scavenger hunt).
• The more items you find, the more points you earn and increase your odds of survival.
• Along the way, you will be asked to answer some trivia questions and do some zombie style challenges for which you will be rewarded points.
• You won’t be alone. Your remote host/guide will be monitoring your progress via the App every step of the way. During the game, you'll be communicating with a remote host via chat in case you have any questions.
• If you are playing in a larger group, you can divide into teams and play against each other to see who finds all the survival items first! You can put the scavenger hunt app on as many phones as you'd like.

What's included:

• Self-guided scavenger hunt style walking activity.
• 1 hour with a remote interactive survival guide.

When:

• Zombie Scavenger customer support hours are Tuesday-Sunday from 9am-5pm.
• If you'd like, you can play anytime, outside the customer support hours.

Duration: 1-hour

Need to know:

• There can be up to 10 people on a team. The optimum group size is between 4 and 6 people.
• If you are playing in a larger group, you can divide into teams. Play against each other to see who finds all the survival items first!
• Nobody will be physically there with you during the game, dressed as Zombies. Everything is done through your smartphone.
• To play the game you will need an Android or iOS Smartphone with data plan.
• The game is played outside in public spaces.
• The experience is wheelchair accessible. It is an open scavenger hunt, where you can explore the city on your own terms. There is no specific route, therefore you don’t have to go anywhere that is not wheelchair accessible, nor will you be asked to find anything that could not be accessible in a wheelchair.
