Tampa Zombie Scavenger Hunt

A fun way to discover Tampa!

The world is in chaos, and you are part of a small group of survivors struggling to subsist. Zombies vastly outnumber the living. Using your smartphone, you’ll search downtown Tamp, starting from Lykes Gaslight Square Park, for desperately needed survival items like food, vehicles, bandages, and more.

The Zombie Scavenger Hunt dedicated app will provide you with the list of items you need to find. You will have 60 minutes to find and take pictures of these items. The more items you find, the more points you’ll earn to increase your chances of surviving the apocalypse. Plus, answer trivia questions and perform zombie themed challenges along the way to be rewarded with even more points.

It won’t be easy! Rival colonies are all around, and they will take what you worked hard to find if you are not careful.

This fun, app-led scavenger hunt game puts a fun, new spin on sightseeing, introducing you to places in Tampa you may not have known about.

How it works:

• Registration instructions will be provided to you once you have activated your Breakaway Experiences' certificate.
• When you are ready to play, you’ll register with the experience provider and download the app called "GooseChase" onto your smartphone.
• You’ll go to your starting location at Lykes Gaslight Square Park on the day / time you want to play. Follow the directions provided to you in the Zombie Scavenger app.
• You'll be shown a list of items to find on the app. Find these survival items in any order you'd like.
• Once you locate an item, you’ll take a picture to show that you found it. You do not have to purchase anything during the scavenger hunt.
• The more items you find, the more points you earn, increasing your odds of survival.
• Along the way, you will be asked to answer some trivia questions and do some zombie style challenges for which you will be rewarded points.
• During the game, a remote guide / host will be following your progress via the App. Via the chat feature in the app, the remote host can help you in case you need anything.

• 1 hour

• Zombie Scavenger Hunt customer support hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 9am - 5pm. If you prefer, you can play anytime, outside the customer support hours.

• You can have up to 10 people on a team. The optimum group size is between 4 and 6 people.
• If you are playing in a larger group, you can divide into teams and play against each other to see who finds all the survival items first! You can put the scavenger hunt app on as many phones as you'd like.
• The game is played all outdoors in public spaces.
• Nobody will be physically there with you during the game, dressed as Zombies. Everything is done through your smartphone.
• To play the game you will need an iOS or Android Smartphone with data plan.
• The experience is wheelchair accessible. It is an open scavenger hunt, where you can explore the city on your own terms. There is no specific route, therefore you don’t have to go anywhere that is not wheelchair accessible, nor will you be asked to find anything that could not be accessible in a wheelchair.
