Learn to Fly a Helicopter – Fort Lauderdale

This Discovery (Introductory) Flight is the ideal introduction to professional helicopter flight training. It is perfect for anyone interested in becoming a helicopter pilot or having dreamed of checking flying a helicopter off their bucket list!

Under the expert guidance of our skilled instructors, you'll acquire the skills and knowledge needed to take control of a helicopter, soaring through the skies and fulfilling your dreams of flight.

Your adventure begins with meeting your pilot, an experienced FAA certified flight instructor, at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.  You'll prepare for take-off, ensuring a thorough pre-flight safety check of the Robinson R44 – Raven I helicopter.

Once airborne at a safe altitude, it's time for you to take control under the guidance of your instructor. Throughout your flying lesson, your instructor always remains in full control, ensuring a safe and educational introduction to helicopter flying.

Feel the excitement as you try your hand at various flying skills, including straight and level flight, climbs, descents, descents, take-offs, and landings.

• No prior flight experience required.
• Minimum age for participation is 17 years.
• Maximum lesson participant / passenger weight on the Robinson R44 is 280 lbs.
• Valid photo ID is required.
• Participants must arrive 15 minutes before tour time. It will be considered as a no-show if customers have not arrived at scheduled tour time, no refund will be given.
• This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
• Not recommended for travelers with heart problems or other serious medical conditions.
