Get ready to explore the roots of San Antonio on a tour that blends history, culture, and a whole lot of “wow” this city has stories” moments.

Your adventure starts with begin with your tour guide greeting at your accommodation or downtown San Antonio location. Sit back, relax in a comfortable, air-conditioned Mercedes Metris as you make your way between the city’s iconic Spanish colonial missions - Espada, San Juan, San José, and Concepción, each one a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with engaging guided tours at each site.

Your first stop is Mission Espada, founded in 1690 and relocated to its current site in 1731.  It Is the oldest of the missions and definitely the most rustic and charming. It sets the tone beautifully with its stone walls, peaceful grounds, and fascinating history.

Then you’ll cruise over to Mission San Juan, known for its bright white chapel and serene farmland surrounding. Mission San Juan played a key role in agriculture, producing goods and crops that supported the region.  It's the kind of spot that feels like a little time capsule.

Next up is Mission San José, often called the “Queen of the Missions” because of its impressive size and stunning restoration. Your guide will walk you through its massive church, unique architecture, and regale you with stories of the community that once lived there. Founded in 1720, the Mission features a beautifully carved stone church, the famous Rose Window, and original walls that once sheltered hundreds of Indigenous residents.

You’ll then visit Mission Concepción, the best-preserved mission of them all. Its original frescoes are still visible on the walls, making it a favorite for anyone who loves architecture, history, and art.

Lastly, you’ll visit the legendary Alamo, home to the historic Alamo, site of the 1836 Battle of the Alamo and one of Texas’s most significant landmarks.

After the Alamo, your guide will bring you back to your downtown hotel or a designated drop-off location.
